Galway

Country sidelunchOur train would leave Heuston train station to take us to Galway at 9:25 AM. We went to the bus stop, thinking we could use our phones to buy bus passes. They have a Leap Visitor Card that you need for the buses. The driver let us on, and we got off at Heuston and waited for the train. While at the station, I asked where we could buy the Leap Visitor card. There was a candy shop at the station that sold them. I bought a 72 hour and a 24 hour card for both of us. That should cover most of the week while we are in Dublin. I retrieved our train tickets from the ticket machine for Galway and Waterford since I ordered them online. We got our breakfast from Pret a Manger and Caffè Nero. The train finally was ready to leave, and we boarded. I watched some Jack Ryan on the ride that I had downloaded to my phone from Prime. Once we arrived, we were getting hungry, so we looked, and found An Pucan. Good food, and they like American music.

FeckitRudolphWe decided to wander around Galway, and found a rather large shopping district. We explored that for a good while. Stopped in Carrolls Irish Gifts. Then stopped in Matt O’Flaherty Chemists to get some face clothes since the UK does not provide them in the hotels. Claddagh Jewelers had some nice rings. The actual Christmas market in Eyre Square was pretty small, but nice to see nonetheless. We waited at the train station for a while, and then headed back to Dublin. On the bus we were able to use our Leap Cards, but the bus did not say what stop we were at. I asked, and we had just passed our stop. He was a bit miffed since the guy and girl popped the door opening button and got off. We got off at the next stop and walked back to our hotel.
